Slayer Masters
Slayer points are very important in Old School RuneScape, because it is an in-game skill system that allows players to kill monsters that may not be harmed. In order to earn these points, you must visit a Slayer masters.
Slayer masters are NPCs that task you with killing a certain number of monsters. After completing these tasks, they will reward you with skill points that can improve your overall killer level.
There are a total of seven different owners, each of which requires a certain killer and combat level to be assigned to the monster you killed. In addition to the skill points, these characters are also merchants who have a long list of useful slayer equipment available for purchase.
How to Earn Slayer Points
Since 2014, things have changed about how to earn these points. Old School RuneScape no longer requires players to complete a task, but only limits them to complete the task, and now there are several different ways to do it.
Now, you can earn Slayer points by completing the tasks or challenges of most masters (excluding Turael and Spria), trading through Tuska mask transactions, or signing Arc contracts through Ling.
On top of this, the quest that players once need to complete, Smoking Kills, now doubles the number of points gained per task when completed. Listed below are the values of each quest once you’ve completed each fifth task, listed according to the Runescape Wiki.
Turael or Spria: 0
Mazchna or Achtryn: 2
Vannaka: 4
Chaeldar: 10
Sumona: 12
Duradel or Lapalok: 15
Kuradal: 18
Morvran: 20
Earning slayer points doesn’t stop there though, because Old School RuneScape will provide you with 5 times the reward for the 10th task you completed and 15 times for your 50th mission.
